i definitely hope to attend next year. it was aug. 19-21 this year, and probably will be around that same time frame next year.

by the way if we planned the board's offline for napa/sonoma either the weekend before of after when they plan to hold this next year, that would be one heckuva a 10-day wine country trip, beginning and ending with wonderful weekends.

My only comment about the date is that this is in the harvest time. Most of the winemakers don't have time to meet people, drink some juice, and spend time till after Nov 1st. We've always gone out after the harvest and found far more time with the big guys. This event is just a small break in their hectic schedule. WW

actually, only a handful of wineries were just starting to pick some chardonnay and other white varietals that weekend. but you're right (as usual, verne) that you run the risk of an early harvest and being there right in the middle of it.
