I remember a long time ago that there was a post on how to build a wine cellar with references to a book and a website.

Since that part of the forum is not working, I can't search it. Does anyone have any information on this?

PW it's the Stroage/Racking,etc thread (second to bottom) that isn't working. That's why the search can't get to it.

The book is "How and Why to Build a Wine Cellar" by Richard M. Gold, Ph.D. (in physics). Self-published, available from Sandhill Publishing, P.O. Box 9614, North Amherst, MA 01059. Tel. (413)549-0841. Cost is (was) $24.95 book rate U.S. Mail.

Above is from his third edition, 1996.

Highly recommend it. Found it very helpful when I was arm-wrestling the heat and humidity issues in my cellar 10 or so years ago.

Just now checked Amazon..... they have the 2007 4th edition for just under $20.

An old Website that now seems defunct was stratsplace.com, where Art Stratmeier (sp?) compiled a cellar photo album from users of his site; included were narratives describing construction, issues encountered, etc. Very interesting. Art passed away suddenly 2-3 years ago; don't know what happened to that wonderful album.

Figured out the problem, we will fix the search. It may be time to upgrade the Forum to a newer version, which may require one day of downtime. I will keep you guys posted.

A newer version would allow Google to index every tasting note and all the threads meaning more people would be able to search the Wine Board
