I will also be in San Francisco in October on three different nights with a two-night stay on the Monterey Peninsual and three nights in Sonoma County in between. What dates are you going to be in S.F.?

WoW, it would be great to see you out there!

I currently am flying into SF Saturday Oct 2nd and will be heading to Napa right away and a tasting at Ridge later on in the afternoon, then to a friends "recreation" of the 1976 for dinner. On October 3rd, I'll be attending another friends dinner. I fly out currently on the morning of the 4th to London. If I can I'll look to fly in on Oct 1.

What are your particulars?

Unfortunately, my visit is later in the month to take in one day of Pinot on the River. I will be in San Francisco Oct. 18. 21 and 25.

BTW, envy you the planned trip to major European wine regions. I will probably return to France in 2011, to celebrate my retirement but particulars are not decided. I'm hoping to take another trip with the restaurant owner from Raleigh if he has another trip besides the Provence one in 2011.

That's too bad WoW. Would have been nice to have hooked up somewhere on the left coast.
