A recent discovery in Sardegna by Italian archeologists purports that cannonau is no, as was believed, a grape that arrived from Spain, but that it is indigenous to Sardegna and it dates 3200 yars ago.

They go further and say they are trying to prove that Sardegna is the oldest wine producing region in Europe.

I don't buy that at all.
