If you don't subscribe to "Food and Wine" magazine, you may want to look for the October issue at a newsstand or bookstore. It is the "wine" issue and has some good feature articles. (It mentions New York Rieslings, Foodie.) I enjoyed the article on Routes du Vin (Zinfandel roads in Amador, Mendocino and Sonoma's Dry Creek Valley) with lodging, restaurant and tasting room recommendations. The article is also available on line http://foodandwine.com. This issue also talks about the best new bistro restaurants in the USA and presents recipes from some of them.
