I've found to be more ameanable to my body and soul. For the past few days I've cut my consumption down to a bottle at lunch. I've found this lets me drink but gives time for my body to absorb the alcohol before bedtime and my sleep has been very solid. Miss my evening bottle but this is a very acceptable alternate. Don't suggest 1/2 at lunch and the pther for Din-Din. Prefer to get full impact once a day rather than a tease twice daily. So far so good. Heading to San Diego next week so will see how this holds up under the fire of travelling. Also keeps my diet under the radar as it takes 450 or so calories automatically outta' the bod. Having the NCAA Baskets on helps take my mind off the thirst pangs. Not leaving till Tues AM so I have this week-end to verify my new stuff. WW

SOunds like a solid plan... but a hard one to enforce. Good luck to you.

WW, do you have a preferred non-alcoholic beverage for the evening? Maybe something healthy like cranberry juice? I make "Sun Tea" with three large bags of decaffeinated tea to one regular and have ice tea with lemon juice before bed. How about others on the board? What do you drink in the later evening hours?

Sounds like a good plan, WW. Good luck.

Wonders, I try to stretch out my last glass of wine from dinner and make it last until bed-time, around 9. I don't drink at all until at least 5, when I might have a sipper-before-supper, normally a half-glass of the wine selected for dinner; then will consume a half-bottle with the meal. D gets her two glasses and I get the rest.

During the week, I never have anything alcoholic before I get home from work. It just doesn't fit into the regimen at work. When I get home, I'll generally go with some single malt while I read the mail, check the boards and decide what to cook for dinner. At dinner, we share a bottle of whatever's appropriate with the meal, and sometimes that might be beer rather than wine. On weekends, I'll occasionally have a beer with lunch, depending on what it is, then a shared bottle with dinner. If there's any left after dinner, it's consumed then. Rarely do we have anything else late in the evening, though sometimes I'll sip something really good like a high end rum or tequila (both neat, of course).
