My great-niece Meredith Hope went home from the hospital nine days after she was born and will go back for a follow-up exam this week but appears to be doing very well--thank you, God. She had been heavily sedated for a time in the hospital so her first day at home she slept almost all day and wouldn't wake up for the visit of Uncle Matthew, her mother's brother. My sister (one of the the Grandmothers) who was visiting from Iowa said there are times when you'll wish she would sleep like this and that evening Meredith proved her right. She woke up after the sun went down and kept her parents awake most of the night. About six in the morning they dumped her on Grandma and caught a few hours' nap. Fortunately Dad is a college professor not teaching this summer so he can afford a little lost sleep.
Anyway, it sounds like Meredith is doing what babies are supposed to do--deprive the folks of sleep.
I have foot surgery this Thursday and will not be at work for several weeks--thus cut off from computer access. I will post on a few more wines from the weekend and tonight before signing off temporarily.

I can see the headlines now " Ole' Hop-A-Long WOW hobbles past her first wine tasting EVER!." Hope all goes well and you recover quickly. WW

WOW, I hope all continues to go well with Meredith, and best wishes with the foot surgery. I hope the hospital has a good wine list, or that at least you're up and running and tasting very soon.
