Yup and I've sampled a bunch of new wines, to me, but all have been average to uninteresting.

I've been posting from my Blackberry when I get signals

I've been hopping cities for several weeks now. It's getting frustrating. I wake up completely disoriented. Not sure which city I'm waking up in. Not sure where I'm heading next. One night, and it happens occasionally, I woke up not knowing why I was oriented in a certain manner....I took about 5 seconds to realize that I was in fact just lying down flat on a bed on a pillow like any other normal human being so I should not have been that concerned.

Heading to Chicago next and at least will be there for a few days......

contrary to rumors. i AM still alive. am dealing with a lot right now, though. the short version: resigned from my job in early august because of insomnia (working the overnight shift was kicking my butt big time). desperately searched for a job in a really tough time in the newspaper business. found one back with the paper i left in D.C. to come work for the AP in los angeles. now am packing up for my second self-funded cross-country move in less than a year. and my wife and i are separating, with her moving back to boston. and the topper: i got hit with a kidney stone (a BIG one) in the middle of the night thursday and spent most of friday in the hospital. am seeing a specialist on monday and hoping to God this one passes on its own, because the thought of driving a moving truck cross-country by myself (leaving this friday) with a stone that big still inside me scares the heck out of me. prayers/positive thoughts on my behalf would really be appreciated. i could really use a break right now. when i get settled in D.C. (around 9/22), i'll resume posting. really.

I'm sort of with Bucko (God help me!!). We taste about 80 to 100 wines a week at the shop, so I've been going for a beer at home lately. With the warmer weather, I've been on a lighter beer kick - like Blanche du Bruxelles, Hoegarden, Leffe, Jever, Castelain and others of that ilk. Hey Jackie, maybe we can get folders for beers and for spirits (single malt Scotch, Bourbon, Tequila, etc.). What do you think?

They're enrolling new Wusses as we speak. WW

Really, I've been tasting on average 500 wines a week for the past 9 weeks. So, last night I drank wine. A lot of it. hurting today. I just wouldn't fit in to WW's new site.

It might have to do with the summer blashs.... So many things going on and no time to really just sit down is the other reason. I got home last night. Should've arrived around 7:00pm. Did not get in till around midnight. as such, no cracking bottles....
