Hi Tuna, and welcome to the Wine Board. A Barbera D'Asti would be fine. If too hard to find, try a simple Chianti. If you want to splurge (say $20 or so) go for a Rosso D'Montalcino.

OR, since you live in a hot and humid area, try a Prosecco or a Cerasuolo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (a DRY but fully flavored rose) very chilled....
