Hi I've been gone for some time, and have some catching up to do on old posts. Now that the cellar I started in 05 with a few bottles of Lorings, some Tobin James, along with a few more regionals from IN is starting to "mature", I look forward to reading tasting notes on what some of us have commonly cellared. Hopefully reading what others may taste in the same juice may help me identify similar tastes I may experience but have trouble identifying. (although TN's are merely opinions)

One may think it easier to get a group together and taste the same bottle...but I havent any group that take wine seriously enough to listen to, (You folks have a ton of knowledge to share). At the store, they have wine tastings, always fairly small and only what the vendor is pushing...no unbiased tasting notes to be had there! Same for winery visits.

So there hasn't seemed to be much novice activity, as this new site I've just read is coming unvails, please leave the novice thread for us who aren't particularly skilled at writing notes to make an attempt as well as perhaps find comparison notes. It seems awckward for me to put TN's in the proper wine thread as I know they are only of a novice quality.

Now that the weather has pushed me inside I hope to be back reading more regularly again. Merry Christmas to all.

Welcome back WP! Glad to have you around again. We haven't acquired any more Lorings in recent years, but still get our shipments from TJ. You might run a search on some of the wines you've cellared, to see if there are any TNs on them.

C'mon WP, you aren't a novice anymore. You're just being modest.

Good to see you back. I missed your comments on my blog, too.

Now that did it...you had to ruin everything by mentioning the Colts. I thought you had better taste.
