I would like to try some different wines but don't want to buy in case it would be something I would not like. Also many bottles dnot say if the wine is white or red and you can't see in every bottle what the color is. my favorite right now is white zinfindel. I also like chblis, white merlot, soavebolla, and somewhat like chaardonay. With these preferences I hope somone can rccommend some other wines. no RED wines though as they give me a headache.

Hi Sinbad, and welcome to the Wine Board. Look for Riesling; dry ones say "dry" in the U.S. and "troken" in Germany. Most from Alsace and Australia are also dry. Most others are off dry.

Also look for Chenin Blanc from the U.S. or Vouvray (made from CB) from Loire. In the U.S. they are usually off dry unless it says "dry" on the label. Vouvray is usually off dry.

Hi AZSinbad,

Another recommendation is Sauvignon Blanc. You can get them from the US or New Zealand. I think you will like them. Should taste like mangos.

Besides the headaches, do you like red wine? There is a chemical in your brain called protoglandin that is released when you drink red wine. This is, of course, if you get the headache almost immediately not the next day!

If that is the case and you like red wine if you take an asprin one hour before you are to consume it you should be ok. This is a real asprin, not tylenol or Motrin. A regular old Bayer asprin should help.
