Brom, I am a novice of the wine world. And I have learned very much from the kind people on this wine board.

I think it would be benificial for you to read Kcwhippet's last two responces. I couldn't say it better my self.

Yeah, Brom, you expressed surprise when so many people found your response off-putting. So some of us offered specific ideas to help explain our reaction. But it's pretty clear that you didn't really want to know why the reactions occurred. It would seem that KC's analysis is right.

Whew! I thought this was a wine board! I'm glad to see I was not alone in my assessment. Unlike knowledge of wine, tact cannot be acquired. I do offer my apologies to Foodie. I wasn't trying to paint people who drink a bottle of wine a day as drunks. I don't think that at all. It just seemed that the way Brom phrased his response was a jab at ME drinking too much. Anyways, thank you WW for your kind offer and advice on the dessert wine. I'd have to say the Moscato was not my cup of tea (too sweet). And thanks to everyone else for their advice and support!

yabloka, no apolgy needed. I wasn't upset. A couple of times you mentioned a bottle a day as a potential problem; I want you to know that it doesn't necessarily have to be a problem, and for many of us it isn't.

WW, you noticed. On my trip I made a point of taking stock in my attitude; as a result I vowed to suffer fools as gladly as I enjoy the nice people--at least until such time as my @#$&*** patience runs out...

Brom, I give up!

KC, it's part of the new me--remember that Honeymooner's episode? "pins and needles, needles and pins; it's a happy man that grins!" And you know what happened to Ralph within minutes after that...

Foodie- I'm sorry. Your statement about wine and chemisrty was lost in all of that... Well, let's not go there. Yes, I am interested in wine making, but that will have to be put on hold for now. Nursing school and law school are my first priorities. I'm just glad that I'm able to further my wine knowledge while I'm studying.

Having started in the business as a grape grower and winemaker, I understand the passion--in your case, it comes across even through an electronic filter.

Nursing and lawyering will come in handy when you later own a winery--the former for the patience needed to produce wine; the latter for dealing with government regulations and forms...
