I'm relatively new to wine, as in college I was mainly a beer guy. I started drinking wine mainly at business dinners, as I was usually the youngest at the table and didn't want to be the only one not partaking in the wine that was ordered. I've spent quite a bit of time in California this summer, visiting family members who are big wine drinkers. I visited a few wineries in Napa and Sonoma. I have to say that I really enjoy wines from Niebaum-Copolla. Very nice quality at very reasonable prices. I'm a big fan of the 2000 Diamond Series Merlot.

I hope to learn more about wines through this site, and maybe meet some other enthusiasts.

thanks

Hi Corleone76 and welcome to the board. You're well on your way to the pleasures of the grape. Taste as much as you possibly can. Your palate will be your guide. Ask questions at any time....and remember there 'haint no dumb ones. WW
