wine for guava paste and cream cheese

New to wines. Novice is too good for me to use--I prefer Clueless. A friend brought back some guave paste from Brazil and I love to eat it with good cream cheese. What kinds of wines would go good with this?

Brachetto d'Aqui. Sangue di Giuda, Lambrusco di Sorbarra or any other fruity sparkling RED wine would be my first choice. Moscato d'Asti will be more generally available....
