HELP! B-day gift advice??!!

My friend is a big wine drinker since the trip to Italy, both white and red... His b-day is coming up and i'd like to get a bottle of wine for him, preferrably white wine since i'm not a fan of red and we will be sharing it but I am clueless to wines...He isnt too picky so can someone recommend maybe a buttery,creamy white wine or maybe a vanilla/fruity flavored white wine with a reasonable price?? THANKS! :-)

Hi Blkmirage, and welcome to the Wine Board. Recommend an Italian Vermentino. It is a lusty white wine that I love, especially with meals that scream for a white, but are too rich for most of them. Serve chilled as an aperitif or with food.
