Hey eveyone,
I wouldn't even be able to call myself a novice I am so new and inexperienced in the world of wine. My girlfriends 21st birthday is coming up in 2 weeks and I have this whole thing in the works with a romantic dinner alone. I am cooking a chicken alfredo with bruschetta on the dish (its her favorite) and I was wondering what a great wine would be to go with this? like a name of the wine or even a type? It seems that there is no information availible on something like this so any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot everyone.

Welcome to the WineBoard, steve-o. I would suggest a nice buttery, unoaked Chardonnay to go with that creamy Alfredo sauce. Some of the best I've had recently are from New Zealand and Australia. The one that seems most readily available is the Kim Crawford Unoaked Chardonnay from NZ. The wine guy at your local shop should be able to show you others.

I agree. Gotta go with the Chardonnay. Buy a good one.
