A friend said that she really likes a certain type of wine. I believe it is call Pinot Granache, or something like that. Has anybody heard of this wine?

Sounds like it could be Pinot Grigio or Grenache (more likely the first). Pinot Grigio is an Italian varietal wine (white) and Grenache is a varietal popular in southern France (red). (Both grapes are grown in USA and elsewhere as well).
