usage of novice thread?

Hi,i posted a msg. the day i registered, and thanks a bunch for the reply.I'am sorry for being ignorant but i can't seem to figure out the novice thread your mentioning about.In other words where do i post my queries,and get more than one opinion.I believe where i posted my question was not the right place to do so.Please help, and once again apologise, 'coz this is a first for me.

You posted your first on the Tech Tips thread. That's intended to be used for reporting and solving technical items, which mainly would involve questins about problems with the operation of the board or computer problems with the board.

The Novice folder is for questions by people who have little or no knowledge about wine in general. It's also used by people who have more knowledge but have a general question about an area on which they need more info. So, this would be the place to post your general questions, as you've just done.
