I would like to buy a red wine for my fiance to add to his new collection. I found an 88 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac for $199. Is that a good price? Is a 97 Far Niente better? If so where can I find one? Please give suggestions.

Hi Lisa, and welcome to the Wine Board. It kind of boils down to when you want him to drink it. The Lafite is ready to roll. The Far Niente could be a better wine, but shouldn't be touched for another five or six years.
