I need a wine to go with curry beef, does anyone have any suggestions?

I would choose a merlot or merlot-based blend, especially a Bordeaux. We'll see what the food-guys come up with for suggestions.

One key here is the heat. If the curry is mild (as in suited for the average American palate), then I would suggest a Moulin-a-vent (crus Beaujolais) or any decent Cabernet Franc.

If the curry is rip-roaring hot, then I'd suggest some sort of side dish prepared with yogurt to help cut the heat and no wine at all.

Instead, try a light lager or a pale ale. Yes - beer!
