Well Paul, on one forum you persuade me I should stick with the screw cap concept, and then on this forum you persuade me otherwise.

Thanks for throwing in some first-hand knowledge about the direction research is going.

Maybe we should go back to the system where retailers dispensed wine from small kegs. That way, we can carry our container to the market, fill it up, close it with whatever, go home and empty it quickly at dinner, rinse it out and do it again tomorrow.

Of course, the drive to and from the mall to find the retailer with the keg might make the whole experience difficult, but I am sure such a system would go far to revitalize our cities and to re-awaken the habit of shopping daily for our dinner and drink (I am beginning to like the idea immensely -- I might even move back to the city).

Randy: The very latest in high tech insulation that they use in the Space Shuttle is...a ver thin layer of natural cork. Nothing man-made even comes close.

And Foodie: the worst case of bottle flu I ever had was from a cask of cheap brandy when I lived in Seville. The following two days were NOT pretty.

Paul,

Sounds like the amoebic dysentery I befriended while living in Iran in 1974.

OK, I lose. No moving back to the city.
