How long can a bottle of Dom Perignon-Vintage 1990 be stored? I am hoping to save it for a special occasion (my 50th wedding anniversay) but was told it would not keep. I have it in a base cabinet, in an air conditioned home.

Depends on how long you've already been married. If you just got married...forget it...drink for an upcoming anniversary. If you've already been married for 40-45 years...it will make it easily.

I'm sure Tom Stevenson, our resident Champagne expert will give a more precise opinion, based on the specific vintage etc.

Given good storage conditions, the 1990 DP will easily last until 2025, and the truth is that I would not even bother trying to drink it for five years at least (although, atypically, the magnums are already drinking nicely and will age for at least as long).
