Renowned for the wines it produces on the well-drained, gravelly soils on the left bank of the Gironde in Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon has been a natural choice for New World winemakers wishing to emulate the fine wine that is claret. It is a robust grape that has travelled well, and is now cultivated in Australia, South Africa, North America and South America, but has also been put to use in Italy, Spain and Eastern Europe. It has small, blue-black berries which have thick skins, providing necessary tannin, colour and flavour.

Huh?
Oh I get it. You're advertising your website.

I don't think Donna was advertising. And certainly not from the wine doctor. Probably just mistakenly thought this board was looking for these kind of posts.

I think she's really been touting her skill at doing a bit of internet research and posting the results here.

Donnaclif, I've been very confused about these posts. While I certainly think you've been posting in the correct category, I am not sure if this is spam or not, so in spirit of benefit of the doubt, I will assume not. Are you trying to tell us that you'd like a direct link to classification of grapes/wine and their characteristics? If so we can easily provide a more direct link to this feature. We're not a snobby group of wine people here, and we welcome your notes, all we are doing is trying to protect this forum from being a classified advertisement.
