Oh my...I am so uneducated in wines...I have a friend who mentioned Haven's 1997 Merlot to be a favorite and I wanted to send a bottle as a gift. However, I don't know which one to buy! I found Haven's 1997 Merlot Carneros Reserve for around $32 and Haven's 1997 Bourriquot Napa Valley Red for about $100. Please, what is the difference (besides the obvious price )between the Carneros and the Bourriquot?!? Thank you in advance for your help!!

Hi LMB and welcome to the board The Bourriquot is what is known as a proprietory
blend comprised mainly of cabernet. The Carneros Merlot will definately do the trick. Send us the date of the big day. WW
