Go to winesearcher.com.

Type in the vintage year 1982 and make your pick.

Here's a hint - For France 1982 was average for most areas, below average for the Rhone, but above average to even what one might say as classic for Bordeaux and Champagne. (Source of this information: www.stratsplace.com)

Don't know anything about your budget, but here are two St Julien's that I like a lot:

1982 Leoville-Poyferre ~$200
1982 Chateau Gloria ~$100

Both are chewy and complex as delightful alone as with food. I think i've already posted tasting notes on the 95 gloria, look it up if you're interested and multiply all comments by 5 :-).
