I do not know anything about wine please help on the following ,What is (1)table wine(2) dry (3)vintage(4)some wine have an alcholic content of 10-14%,are they also called as table wine?(5)"wine should be drunk at room temperature" I stay in the tropical countries,what is the room temperature should I drink wine?

Hi Fookonn, and welcome to the Wine Board. Table wine is fermented grape juice of less than 15% alcohol, with no fortification added as with sherry or port. Dry means that all of the sugar in the grapes has been fermented into alcohol. Vintage is the year the grapes were havested. Table wine can vary from 7 to 15% alcohol. Room temperature is a term use to describe serving temperature of red wine. It is usually considered to be 65 degrees F.

The definition of table wine that IK gave you is correct--in the U.S.

In Europe it is different. For example, table wine in France is a classification of lower status.
