I have been looking at the FAQ regarding storing but I would like more specific information. At the moment I have two 1999 labelled bottles of wine - Chardonnay and Pinot Noir respectively. I know now that White does not store as well as Red. However, does this mean that my bottles are past their drinking age? What effect does long aging have on these two specific wines?

Hi Some and welcome to the board. It's very likely the chard is past its' prime even with good storage. The pinot is probably still drinkable but again only with good provenance. Only way to find out is to pull the corks on them dudes. WW
