These seem relatively inexpensive, but I was wondering if the quality was decent.

There have been three or four favorable posts on the first level of the 2000 Bordeaux. Since many of these are brought in by small regional importers, it is hard to name names that will be widely available. Just buy and enjoy.

As a complete aside, has anyone noticed that while the number of wholesalers is shrinking, the number of importers is growing. This will result in, as many will notice even now, that there will much more diversity available in imports, than in domestic wine.

You may quickly respond, well yeah! Well there is a lot of diversity of wine produced in North America. The problem is, in about 75% of the time, you have to travel to where it is produced to get it.

I am going to try and stick with and understand French wine and then i will move on to maybe Italian. I understand the German mosel riesling pretty well and thoroughly enjoy that varietal. I go to Europe every year for two weeks and next spring or fall, I hope to rent a house for a week in Bordeaux. The other week is spent with my dutch parents in law. Thanks for your responses.

Hi T-aBod. I've had about 8 petite Chateau wines so far all in the 11-15 range and they have all been remarkably enjoyable scoring in the 83-88 range. Call my good friend Dan Thompson publisher of the Wine Report there in Atlanta. He has probably some suggestions on the ones they've tasted. WW
