I shall guess just about all of us know bit about this wine. It is a very thoughtful gift!
Silver Oak is fairly allocated, meaning there is less supply then demand, and many places sell it to only certain customers. I would store it, if you have a proper place to keep it, for many, many years, maybe nine & up to eleven. Just keep track on here or elsewhere, as I am sure that someone will start opening this wine in five or six years and give us an update at that time. (At least I hope so, because I only have two myself.) If you do open it now just be aware that it will be very big, and chewy, not a bad thing in some folks eyes, still good, but not as fantastic as it will be if you wait.

Don' know 'bout the rest of youse guys, but I'm happy as all-get-out to see the Kat-Girl back in full form. Scary, the advice from CCK is rite on the mark.Find a dark cool spot, put that sucker on its' side, and forget it for at least 10. I'd also like to meet whom-so-ebber gave that lil' baby to you! wionoweenie

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to find the right place for it. Ten years from now I'll make a great dinner for my wife and I and we'll Take the boat out eat dinner and pop this baby.
