Hi, newbie here. My roommate had an unopened bottle of champaign in the fridge, which I took out and left on the counter. He said that I ruined the champaign by doing that. Can someone please tell me if this is true that champaign can be spoiled by removing it from the fridge? Thx

The champaign has been out of the fridge for a few days, does that matter? And if not, does that mean that a bottle of champaign is actually spoiled if opened while at room temperature?

It should be OK. Chill before opening.
