I'm looking for suggestions for a "standing and chatting" wine for my daughter's reception. Most of the wines recommended by the resturaunt are wines to accompany the dinner. Any suggestions? Rose? White Zin? Pinot Gris? Pinot Grigio?

Hi Father, and welcome to the Wine Board. Unless you know better you should get two reds to one white. Research has proven that an Australian Shiraz and a New World (can also be Australian) Chardonnay are the crowd favorites. Nice ones of both types can be had in the $10 range.

Don't forget bubbly. Spanish Cavas are also available at the same price.
