I purchased an Imperial of Alexander Crown
Rodney Strong in 1980. It has been in the original crate in an air conditioned house all of these years. 1. Is it still good?
2. What is its value if it is still good.
Thanks

Hi John and welcome to the board. Your bottle is very iffy. This was not a particularly good year for Calif wines and the Strong wines of that era have not proven to be long agers. Because of the format you might be able to sell it on one of the web aution sites. Don't buy a new Mercedes on the come. WW

Goner, no value, not a collectible.

Definitely have to go with Bucko on this one. Our 1980 RS Alex Crown's which were stored well ran out in 95, and it was just in time.
