I was given a bottle of 1994 Chateau Pelan Bellevue/Bordeaux Cotes de Francs, and I'm not sure if this is a wine worth saving for a special occasion, or if it should be served with tomorrow night's dinner.

Any thoughts/opinions?

Hi Tania, and welcome to the Wine Board. '94 Was a solid, but not exceptional vintage in Bordeaux. Have seen other bottlings by Pelan, but not this one, so am not sure how it fits into the scheme of things. I think it could be drunk now, or held a little longer. Don't know if it is worthy of a special occasion. Am guessing that it sold for around $15-$17 U.S. when released.
