I met someone who lives in the Tuscan region of Italy. I would like to know what would be a good gift for him. I would like to send him a quality domestic. In our conversation he was curious about California wines and I had to admit that I am such a novice that ..... Ernest and Julio is all I know. Sad but true.

Are there issuse shipping to Italy?

any help is appreciated.

Hi Doc, fellow Okie, and welcome to the board. Not sure of any restrictions but think that DSL would probably get the bottle safewly over there. My suggestion, depending on what you want to spend, would range from a nice 20+ Calif Cabernet(Your wine shop owner can assist there) to the recently released Joseph Phepls "Insignia" at 120 bucks. This bottling was recently named Winr-of-the-Year by a leading wine publication. Come back often and get the wine bug. You'd be amazed at the amount of people infected.
