Hi everyone! I'm particulary new to wine, but I would love to know more. I am currently in a bit of a bind. I am trying to pick a wine for my father's birthday, but I'm not sure where to start. I do know this, he enjoys red wine (I think), he got an Opus One bottle and an Isle of Sky bottle last year. I can spend up to a $100 for a good gift bottle. Any suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Nat and welcome to the board. Some ideas in your range are Merryvale 2002 Profile, 2002 B.V. Reserve, 2002 Flora Springs Trilogy, or the Robert Craig 2002 Affinity, Howell Mountain or Mt. Veeder. I assume he likes cabernets from your post. WW
