I recently traveled on an international air lines going to europe and drank a wonderful French white wine....the name escapes me, but it was very good. When i got home, i went to a local liquor store to purchase a few bottles. I found the wine and bought several bottles for under $10 each. When i looked closely at the bottle, after i got home, i was shocked to see that the wine didn't have a cork but had a twist cap. I always thought that truly good wines were corked, not capped....anythoughts?

More and more upscale wines, particularly those from down under, but now also from the U.S. and the Continent have screw tops. They work just fine and never get corked! The jury is still out on those reds that have to be aged for a considerable number of years.
