I need help. I'm going to a cocktail party at a friends new house...can I bring her a bottle of wine? If so, what kind would be a best bet? I can't afford anything too expensive but I do want to impress them. Hopefully you can help me. Thanks

Hi Babe, and welcome to the Wine Board. Go to Wine Expo on Santa Monica Blvd and get a sparkling wine at your price point. Be sure is is VERY cold when you arrive at the party. You might bring along some acrilic flutes if you think they won't be available.

Thanks! A sparkling wine sounds like a great choice. But since I'm new at this, do you have a particular recommendation?

The manager of the establishment mentioned above has the best selection in LA. He is also trustworthy and a member of this board. Just go in and ask for the best sparkler available for $X.
