I am really new at wines never really even purchased a bottle before my father is coming in on weekend and would like to share one with him pref a dark fruity flavor at an affordable price youre input would be much aprreciated

2000 S.C. Agricola de Borja, Vino Borgia, Campo de Borja (DDO) ($6). This is an excellent Spanish wine I recently posted. It should not be hard to find. Look for it or other grenache based wines. If the only Spanish wines you can find are tempranillo based such as Rioja, try to find one that is blended with other grapes such as grenache or cabernet sauvignon. There is a whole world of these wines at less than $10 that meet your criteria.

i was unable to find some of the ones you suggested but did find the rioja and was quite immpressed i also bought a bottle of hogue white riesling and really enjoyed it maybe you can give some tips on some white wines as well.
i was also told about a wine called patriach from france if any one nows of or how to get a hold of please let me know thanks and hope to hear from
