Hey, could somebody please tell me what the difference is between different types of wine, as well as what types of wine there are. I'm new and would like to become as cultured as all of you.

Thanks, Brian

Welcome, hope you learn and stay with wine.

Your question, if answered properly, would take volumes of postings. I suggest you get to the nearest library or book store and pick up a book or two about wine. I know someone on the board will recommend a series with the word "dummies" in it--I refrain from reading anything that calls me names, but I hear it has a lot of information. Books by Jancis Robinson are also good sources.
