Hi, I am a newbie to the board. I am looking for a nice white wine for my boss as a Christmas gift. Something in the $50 price range. Any good suggestions?

Hi Wilk316 and welcome to the board. Suggest you go to your local wine store and see what they mite have in a nice white burgandy. You can probably find a Domaine de Chevalier a fine bordeau producer of some outstanding

whites at around the price. For some fine domestic if they have the 99 Kistler Chardonnay or a 99 Far Niente Chardonnay, or the 99 Ch. Montelena would all be welcomed by most wine drinkers. Good luck. WW

Of course WW doesn't KNOW anything about white wines.....

Look for a nice German Auslese from the Mosel region, or a lovely Pinot Gris from the Alsace region of France, or a Quarts de Chaume from the Loire region of France. These wines all have character and ageability.

Get a nice Condrieu, from the Upper Rhone. The best white wine in the world.
