I really want to start drinking red wine, rather than white, but I only like sweet wine. How can I tell which red wines are sweet?

Hi Madge and welcome to the Wine Board. There are very few sweet red wines. Lambrusco is the most common and most widely distributed. Don't know where Ashford is, but many local wineries in North America make reds across the sweetness specturm. See also: http://www.wines.com/faq.html#1
