COPPER RICH ZINFANDEL

I've recently had a glass of the most delicious zinfandel at a restaurant in Chicago. The waitor told that the name is COPPER RICH but i'm not 100% sure of it. Any search on the internet or specific online wine retailers did not match this name. Does anyone now of the correct spelling or if this is correct. Where could I find this wine? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-)

I tried imagining how noisy that restaurant must have been. You obviously mis-heard the waiter, or maybe he was toying with you.

The best winery name I can think of that could be heard as Copper Rich over a loud restaurant crowd is NAPA RIDGE.

Incidentally, any wine that is copper rich is not only illegal, it can be murderous....

There is a lable called Copper Ridge. This is 1.5L house wine stuff. Forgot who makes it but it is one of the big boys.

Three things:

1. Chances are you heard the waiter say Copperidge, which is a brand of "house wine" produced by E & G Gallo exclusively for restaurant service (and so it is NOT sold in retail stores).

2. Copperidge makes a soft, light, easy drinking, medium sweet White Zinfandel (with, as you probably noticed, a slightly pink color).

3. Although you cannot buy Copperidge White Zinfandel in the store, you can find any number of excellent (in fact, better!) White Zinfandels in virtually any retail store that sells wine. Brands like Beringer, Sutter Home, Woodbridge, and Gallo, for instance are practically universal. If you're interested in a finer, more authentic, slightly pricier style, I recommend the White Zinfandels by either De Loach or Santino.

I believe I have had the wine you are speaking of at a restaurant...the closest I could find here in the general public is the Gallo White Zin..

Thanks to everyone for your replies. I'm sure now that the name is Copperidge.The description of the taste as well as the color from Randy was very acurate. I guess I'll have to try some of the other suggestions probably starting with the Gallo brand.
