Very Foolishly left wine in Conservatory while on Holiday!! Came back to find some corks nearly half out and some evidence of leaking. Is all lost? Some corks still seem sound but small amount of wine still evident on outside of bottle????

Hello DBF,

Welcome to the wine board. Unfortunately you are out of luck.

The basic premise is that if wine has gotten out then air has gotten in. That's not good.

I would be really suspect of the wine. You can always try it, but I doubt it will be any good to drink. You might be able to cook with it though.

Only way to know is to open the bottle and smell it. I would certainly smell it before tasting it. If it smells musty or just wrong, then don't drink it.

Sorry - wish I had better news for you.
