We were given a Merlot as a gift and since we have never had this wine, I am wondering if it should be served at room tempature or chilled and what main dish would it compliment?

Hi, Cece and welcome to the board. Merlot pairs well with grilled steaks and should be served at room temperature, 65-70F.
