CLUELESS!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

I am a new to the wine thing. I do not know anything and I repeat anything about wine. Could someone please tell me everything I need to know. Please tell me what to buy, what is good, the difference between red and white and what the year and the price has to do with it. Also could you tell me what to do when I order it at a restaurant..thanks!!!!!!

Alas, this is the wrong medium to answer all of your questions at one fell swoop. I'd suggest a visit to your friendly neighborhood bookstore or library and researching the very general questions you've asked. Then you ask more specific questions.

Two books often recommended on this board for beginning wine tasting are "Wine for Dummies" and Andrea Immer's "Great Wines Made Simple." Both are in my personal library.
