Light Sweet Fruity Wines...

I need a list of some good lighter sweeter stuff...red or white...$10-20 price range..Thanks...

For a white look for Vouvray; and for a red Beaujolais Villages.

Moscato d'Asti is low in alcohol, high in conviviality and just plain delicious. For a slightly sweet red, look in ethnic markets for Armenian or Georgian wines aimed at the Russian Immigrant market. These are ofted really inexpensive as well.

I have to agree with Botafogo... Moscato d'Asti is very tasty indeed. [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/smile.gif[/img]

Tried another one called, Marchesi de Gresey La Serra the other day. It's also very, very tasty but it does cost a few dollars more (in Vancouver, BC in Canada... it's $28.00 for the 750 ml size.)

One more vote for the Moscato di Asti. First time we had this, it made me laugh. We love Sauternes and TBA's but this stuff was so light and "festive" (maybe because of the tiny bubbles), we've added a half case to the everyday section of our cellar.
