Hello Everyone
My name is Marian and I just found this board. My husband and I just recently got into trying different wines and we have been enjoying the experience, let me tell you.We even got ourselves a wine cooler. Now here is my question. What are the right temperatures for whites and reds?My husband likes white wines and I love reds but it seems the wine cooler itself, only goes by the one temperature. Is this ok?Right now we have it at 12C.

Hello marian and welcome to the board. Actually both red and whites require the same temp for long term storage, which is between 55-57f or 13-14c if i am doing my math right. For short term cooling the bottom of the cooler will likely be a bit cooler than the top as we all know hot air rises. So maybe keep the wites at the bottom and the reds at the top. Either way I think will work fine. You can get a temp gauge from your local electronics store for pretty cheap usually. Anyway enjoy your new hobby and keep us posted on any good finds.

Chris
