cabernet rutherford ve

hi,anyone ever hear of this 1998 cabernet rutherford ve. we had this at dinner at paces steakhouse in port jefferson ny and can't seem to find it in any stores. it was an excellent wine and we would like to purchase some. thanks...i'm new to the board so be kind!!

Hi gman and welcome to the board. We're never unkind here as most of us are in a constant state of motion between the cellar and the kitchen. I think you probably have most of the ID right on your wine. My guess is that it's a B.V. Rutherford Cabernet. More likely than not from the marvelous 97 vintage. This is a terrific wine that may be hard to find but you can find the 98 vintage which is a shade behind it. Call your restaurant and confirm my suspicion. Lottsa' luck. WW Woops!
