Mykle82,

This is a huge request. Why would you possibly need to know all this? Are you writing an article or a term paper on the topic?

For information on Riesling varietal wine grapes, I recommend going to
http://www.stratsplace.com/hawkins/wgg.html#jriesling

It will not be possible to list or learn about all the producers of Riesling worldwide, as the wine is produced everywhere from South America to Germany.

As for type and style, this is also too broad a question to answer. Type and style depend on the region and the vintner.

Your last two questions -- about Washington State and what's best for Riesling -- lead me to think you are looking for viticultural information, i.e. about the growing conditions for Riesling wine grapes. If so, I'd suggest visiting one of the web sites for viticultural studies like UC Davis. I'm not sure of the URL but will look it up for you and add it to this message.

OK -- Here is the URL for UC Davis, Dept of Viticulture & Enology.... Just copy & paste this into your browser's command line:

http://wineserver.ucdavis.edu/

Good luck,

Jackie

There are a number of great Rieslings produced much closer to your home than Washington State. New York State and Ontario both produce excellent Riesling wines. A number of them are reviewed at
