How well does Chardonnay age? I have a bottle of 1994 Kendall-Jackson Vintner Reserve I would like to give as a gift. How would you rate this wine?

Hi Winowannabee2, and welcome to the Wine Board. The K-J is a nice wine, but this one has gone about as far as it will go. It would make a nice gift if they go ahead and drink it very soon. Long lived chardonnay is available but most come from the Cote de Beaune region of Burgundy and a small handful of California wineries who specialize in it.
